Offering Carefully Curated New and Used Vinyl

Daybreak Records opened it’s doors in July 2016, with the idea of meeting and exceeding the high standards of Seattle’s music buying community. With an emphasis on a clean, modern atmosphere and sharp, easy to navigate presentation, we hope to please the casual record buyer as well as the seasoned record collecting vet. It’s our goal to give all genres a spotlight, from classical to jazz, soul, funk, and disco, 12” dance singles, world, ethnic, and latin, hip-hop, 90's indie rock, alternative rock, brit pop, classic rock, reggae and prog, punk, hardcore, heavy metal, new age, experimental, and industrial.

With decades of experience, our small, knowledgeable staff is always on hand to answer your questions and steer you in the direction of what you are looking for, or just have a chat about music that speaks to you. We are always prepared to make educated, confident offers on records you might be selling or albums and 45’s that you are considering trading in for in-store credit.

We have a comfy listening station where you can post up and preview some tunes and we offer a solid selection of LP and 45 accessories to keep your collection tidy and on point! Feel free to drop in, say hi and start digging.

Wanting to Sell Your Records? We're Buying.

To keep our inventory fresh and exciting we are on a constant hunt for new vinyl on both LP and 45 (7”) formats. Daybreak pays the highest prices for quality used vinyl and many can attest to that. No collection is too big and we have a combined 20 years of experience in buying LP’s of all genres. We can make house calls for collections and are always happy to travel to make an offer. The process moves swiftly and we can grade and come up with an offer on the spot.

Daybreak Records has a reputation for being fair, honest and easy to work with. This reputation was built on the owner's previous experience as the head buyer for another local record store for 14 years prior to the opening of this store.

Please email daybreakrecordsinfo@gmail.com or give us a call at 206-268-0702 and we can discuss the selling of your old albums. If you are looking to trade records for in-store credit, we are always prepared to write you up a credit slip on site so you can start replacing your old titles with some fresh ones. Thanks for thinking of selling us your old albums.
